It’s “just not fair to rats” to compare them to Republicans now attempting to escape the sinking ship of Donald Trump, the former CBS News anchor tweeted.
It’s tempting to use the analogy of rats fleeing a sinking ship to describe the growing number of Republican elected officials starting to speak out against Donald Trump. But that's really not fair to rats, who tend not to be complicit in driving ships to the bottom of the sea.

As long as my feet remain on this earth, I will never forget the Republicans who were complicit.

History will not be kind to these enablers who remained silent and looked the other way. The voters will be even less kind to them.

Rats that deserve to go down with the ship? I'll start:
1. Lindsey Graham
2. Mitch McConnell
3. Mike Pence
4. Bill Barr
5. Rudy Giuliani
